What is a podcast?
A podcast is an audio file that is distributed over the Internet. You can read more about podcasting here.
How do I subscribe?
Visit the Home page of this blog and on the right-hand side you will see a tab that says “iTunes” and another that says “RSS Podcast.” Click on either one of those buttons and you will be automatically subscribed to the podcast. That means new episodes of these audio stories will be downloaded onto your computer as soon as they become available on line. There is no charge for this service.
Do I need an iPod to listen to Cody’s Cuentos?
No, not at all. You can download and play each audio story from any computer with an internet connection.
Who are the readers of the stories?
Megui from Barcelona, Spain and Alejandro from Mexico City. There will be additional readers in the future.
What kind of dog is Cody?
He’s a basenji. Basenjis are a special breed of dog from Africa. They are known for their intelligence and for the fact that they do not bark. Yes, a dog that doesn’t bark! Although they don’t bark, they are quite good at expressing themselves with a special noise called a yodel. Barooo!! 
Is Cody real?
The answer is yes. Cody is the digital representation of my basenji who goes by a different name. That’s why if you want to use Cody’s image, you have to ask for my permission first since he is my dog.
Does Cody speak Spanish?
Yes, Cody is bilingual. He responds to “sit, stay and down” in English and Spanish.
Can I email Cody? Will he write back?
Yes, you can. You can contact Cody through this link. If he’s not too busy chasing squirrels, chewing on a bone or sunbathing in the backyard, he should be able to respond in less than a day.
Cody is so cute. Can I buy him a bone or give him doggie biscuits?
Yes, but you will have to do it electronically. You can donate to Cody’s Cuentos via Paypal.
Why isn’t there a Spanish version of the web site?
This web site is brand new. A Spanish version will eventually be added. In the meantime, you can find the story transcripts written completely in Spanish here.
I love the illustrations on the web site. Are they available for purchase?
No. Unless otherwise stated, all the illustrations on this site were made exclusively for Cody’s Cuentos and are not for sale. They also cannot be copied nor used without written permission from Cody’s owner.
I’ve got a suggestion. Who do I contact?

I write children’s stories in Spanish. I’d like to submit a story to your podcast. How can I do that?
Cody’s Cuentos is open to children’s short story submissions in Spanish. Please contact Eleena, Cody’s human mommy, at the following email address (voicesenespanol[at]gmail[dot]com) and she’ll get back to you shortly.
