  1. I very much enjoy your site and podcast, thank you for providing such a fun learning resource for free. However, I am wondering whether it would be possible for you to flag up in the Itunes description or blog description more information about the accent of the reader of the stories. I am English and trying to learn Spanish and I am interested in learning to speak with an authentic mainland Spain accent rather than picking up accents from South America or non-native Spanish speakers so ideally I want to concentrate on listening to those stories read by people with a Spanish accent. Is this possible?

  2. Hi Helen,
If you prefer a Spanish accent from Spain you’re in the right place. The overwhelming majority of stories on this site are read by native speakers from Spain. Megui is the reader of this story that you commented on and she is from Spain. She’s also the voice that you will hear on the majority of the stories on this web site.

There are currently more than 50 recordings, so when I can, I will gradually add that info about where the reader is from to the previous story entries.

Thank you for your comment and for the suggestion!

    Un saludo cordial,
    Eleena

  3. thanks Eleena, that’s really helpful. I will enjoy the stories even more now that I know I am probably hearing the ‘right’ accent!
