We’re baaaaaaaccck!! Hee,hee. It’s feels good to say that. :)  We missed you guys!

Season 2 of Cody’s Cuentos is going to be INCREDIBLE!!! Megui, your favorite reader, is back, along with a couple new voices and several original stories that you haven’t seen or read anywhere else.  One of those stories, written by yours truly, features one of Cody’s old canine friends from Brooklyn, and will be for the new Beginners-Level section of this blog. There will also be plenty of classic stories from authors you already know and love, like the Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault and Hans Christian Andersen. Peter Pan, Sherlock Holmes, the Little Mermaid, Aladdin and his magic lamp, are all ready for their Cody’s Cuentos closeup and are all slated to appear in this exciting new second season.

But first some formalities…..Last month some of you filled out a listeners survey. The overwhelming majority of those of you who responded said that you listen to Cody’s Cuentos as a Spanish learning tool. So, to help you on that front, I’m changing the transcripts.

Starting from now, the stories will be divided into three categories: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

The Beginner level will be very short stories, songs and nursery rhymes, appropriate for all ages, with short and simple sentences and basic grammar.

The Intermediate level will contain stories that have a more developed structure and vocabulary.

The Advanced level  is just what it sounds. Stories that are written on a native Spanish speaker level. This is like real life, no training wheels, no crutches.

Transcripts of the stories will be available in all three categories. For many of the stories, an enhanced transcript will be available. Enhanced transcripts contain the complete text of the story plus definitions of key Spanish words in the story. These enhanced transcripts also include a question and answer worksheet to help you check your reading and listening comprehension.

A small fee will be charged to download the enhanced transcripts. The podcasts, however, will continue to be free and can be downloaded directly from this blog or from iTunes or any of the numerous podcast directories out there that carry the program.
